Makhana Chaat

Not every snack needs to come from a packet.
Makhana chaat is proof that you can turn something simple into something satisfying without frying, deep seasoning, or excess oil. It’s fresh, quick, and works beautifully when you want a snack that feels closer to real food.

What makes makhana chaat different

Unlike fried chaat bases, makhana stays light. It gives crunch without grease and carries flavours without overpowering them. That balance is what makes this chaat feel clean, not chaotic.

Ingredients

  • 1½ cups Ecofeast Makhana
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1 small tomato, finely chopped
  • Fresh coriander
  • Lemon juice
  • Salt and chaat masala to taste

How to make

Dry roast the makhana on low flame until crisp. Let it cool and lightly crush it with your hands. You want texture, not powder. Add chopped onion, tomato, salt, and chaat masala. Finish with lemon juice and coriander. Toss gently and eat immediately.

When this works best

This is perfect for mid-day hunger, light dinners, or weekend snacking. It fills you up without slowing you down.
Using fresh, clean makhana like Ecofeast makes a big difference here. The chaat stays crisp instead of turning soggy.
